When can I see the ISS from Georgetown?

What does ISS magnitude mean?
Magnitude is a brightness scale where more negative numbers are brighter. A peak around mag −2 to −4 can rival Jupiter or approach Venus. Unlit (eclipsed) passes have no usable naked-eye magnitude.
What does a high pass look like?
When peak elevation is 40° or higher the ISS crosses a large arc of sky and can look much brighter. Face the start bearing a few minutes early, then follow it through the peak point on the sky-path chart and simulation.
